Star Events Group is headquartered in Thurleigh, 6 miles north of Bedford in the UK. This is about 1 hour north of London. This location is central to most of the UK, with almost every major English town within a 200 mile radius. Our premises are in a rural area that enables us to operate 24 hours a day without disturbing any neighbours. Our site covers over 5 acres (2 Hectares) and comprises of offices, workshops, storage buildings and outside storage and vehicle parking areas. We operate a fleet of over 40 commercial vehicles and trailers, many of them very specialised. To ensure this is done efficiently and legally, we have a full-time transport manager, on-site repair and maintenance facilities, a 50 ton capacity weigh bridge (to full public weigh bridge standards) and our own bulk fueling facility that dispenses bio-diesel.
We stock in excess of £5million of equipment on our rental inventory. With the exception of our large fleet of mobile stages, this can be thought of as a giant 'Meccano
Our purpose built workshops are equipped to handle almost any kind of fabrication and maintenance, covering steel, aluminium, electrics, hydraulics, timber, PVC fabric, fibreglass, hydraulics and electrics. We have the facilities to proof test not only all our rigging inventory items, but also components such as scaffolding, decking, specials and trusses. We have staff with the qualifications, plus the proper insurances, to issue legally acceptable test certificates for our equipment and that owned by third parties.
